It is a shampoo, in that it lathers and will clean your hair, but that it not the PURPOSE of it. If you think of it as a “MEDICATION FOR YOUR SCALP”, that is a more accurate description of what you are doing with the product. For example, if you had a cut on your leg and you were going to put antibiotic ointment on that cut, you would not slather your whole body with the ointment, you would simply apply it to the area which needs medicating. Think of your Nizoral as the same type of idea. It is a medicine suspended in a foaming liquid.
